Chama Aval
Ingredients:
1 cup Chama Aval (flattened rice)
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/4 cup chopped mixed nuts (cashews, almonds)
1/4 cup jaggery (grated)
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
A pinch of salt
Preparation: Rinse Chama Aval in water and let it soak for 10 minutes, then drain excess water.
Heat ghee in a pan, add chopped nuts, and roast until golden brown.
Add grated coconut, stir until it turns light brown, then add jaggery. Once jaggery melts, add Chama Aval, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously, until the mixture is well combined. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
